I can't say this is my first ever blog post, (especially since I've been frantically-obsessively-annoyingly switching domains-websites and blogs over & over again, moving from place-to-place for the last couple of weeks) but I still want to thank you for visiting me here.
I don't want to go into all the gory details, but my journey was long:
I can't say this is my first ever blog post, (especially since I've been frantically-obsessively-annoyingly switching domains-websites and blogs over & over again, moving from place-to-place for the last couple of weeks) but I still want to thank you for visiting me here.
I don't want to go into all the gory details, but my journey was long:
- after several attempts at trying to modify my Wordpress template on the Wordpress domain (with their style sheet editor) and not being satisfied with the results
- then understanding that all the Wordpress themes on the Wordpress theme viewer website can't be installed unless you own your domain
- and finally finding a free host, having the Wordpress people install the software and realizing that the host ruined the free service with 'pop up' advertisements EVERY 2 seconds
I decided to come back to Blogger!
Yes I'm cheap, but I also wanted some flexibility with my free blog and it just wasn't going to happen on Wordpress until I actually paid for something.
I don't have enough visitors or 'activity' to justify paying for a domain right now, perhaps someday?
The good news is that many of the templates on Wordpress are also available for blogger. The only bad thing is that I have no idea how to transfer over any of my Wordpress posts and will be starting 'fresh'.
I guess you can't have it all, but I'm definitely getting closer!

Oh and you actually DO knit. Quite unique.

Actually Kent, I'm glad to switched. I didn't like your wordpress site much, I found it difficult to navigate. I checked out wordpress myself and decided against it. I'm not terribly techie so blogger suits me...ciao
